Lee County EMS (LCEMS) is currently looking for professional
and qualified Paramedics to help continue our growth to
better meet the needs of the visitors and residents of Lee
County. Lee County itself covers approximately 1000 square
miles of Florida's southwestern coast. Home to the Boston
Red Sox and Minnesota Twins Spring training facilities as
well as home to the Florida EverBlades a professional hockey
team (ECHL) and the Florida FireCats an arena football
team. We currently have approximately 600,000 full-time
residents and approximately 300,000 + seasonal visitors and
residence to the county. Lee County EMS is a division on
Lee County Public Safety, which also encompasses Lee County
Emergency Management and Lee County Telecommunications
(dispatch aka: Lee Control). LCEMS is a municipal,
third-service ground and rotor wing certified Advanced Life
Support (ALS) primary response and transport service. LCEMS
answered 74,745 calls for emergency service in 2006 and
transported more then 1000 patients via LCEMS's two
helicopters a BO 105 and an 2004 state of the art EC-145.
Lee county EMS handles all 911 calls for service throughout
the county. With the ever growing demand for hospital
specialties and inter facility transfers, LCEMS oversees and
works with the 6 area hospitals to provide emergency and
non-emergency interfaculty transfers. LCEMS has also a vast
first responder network encompassing over 22 independent
fire districts that provide fire service to the residents
and visitors of Lee County. 17 of the 22 departments are
Advanced Life Support certified. 2 of the 22 fire districts
