Job Opening for
Paramedic/EMS Coordinator/Firefighter Minimum
Requirements: Oregon drivers license, Oregon certified
Paramedic with three to five years field experience as a
Paramedic. Minimum of basic firefighter. General Statement
of Duties: Shall be responsible for overseeing all EMS
operations. Will respond to fire and other emergencies with
the fire district. Perform maintenance to district
apparatus, equipment and housekeeping of the district
facilities as part of the team. Assist in public education
programs while being involved in community activities.
Responsible to see that all State, City And County paperwork
is properly done and in a timely manner. Be able to deal
with the State Of Oregon Health Division with regard to all
licensing and paperwork and anything else that may arise.
Assist in training of district personnel. Shall have a good
working relationship with volunteers and the ability to get
along with others. Spanish is a plus. Must be self motivated
and able to direct other in jobs they are assigned. Salary
Range: Starting pay will be between $34,000.00 to $42,000.00
depending on qualifications at time of hire. Medical
insurance after 90 days up to $300.00 per month. Shifts will
be 3 days on and 6 days off. History: Milton-Freewater
Rural Fire Department is a paid/volunteer department and
responds to fire and ambulance calls in a 325 square mile
area in eastern Oregon. Responding to over 1300 calls for
service each year. We are looking to hire within the next 30
